Preparation of Papers

1. The prospective students must write a two to three page paper that will accompany their respective application material.

2. Once the applicant is notified of his or her admission in the seminar, he or she will have a certain number of weeks to write a paper, of around 25 pages, in which he or she will develop one aspect of his or her dissertation or thesis which is directly related to the theme of the seminar. This second paper should be, for most students, a more detailed discussion of the content of the two to three page paper that was sent in with the application. The Organizing/Selection Committee will assign students into four groups. Each set of papers will be dealt with during one specific module of the seminar.

3. During the seminar, each student will prepare a revised version of his or her paper, enriching its content with the discussions held in the seminar's various modules. That final version will be presented during the small conference ending the seminar.
