Criteria for Student Selection

1. Applicants to the seminar should be currently enrolled Master or Doctoral students who are fluent in English. 2. Prospective students should have already formulated sound research projects. They should be in the process of formulating a research project (thesis or dissertation research plan) or engaged in thesis or dissertation research, or in the process of writing a thesis or dissertation. 3. Prospective students must provide three letters of recommendation, one of which should be from their thesis or dissertation advisor/director. 4. Prospective students must supply graduate course transcripts and a CV. The transcripts should be sent by the students' institutions directly to the administration of the seminar. 5. Prospective students must submit a two to three-page paper addressing in one way or other the theme of the year for which they are applying. 6. Applications may be submitted on paper or electronically.
