International / Intercultural Education Program
Program Overview
The
International/Intercultural Education Program is part of the global
mission of Florida International University to produce professionals who
understand the international implications of their responsibilities as citizens and utilize their knowledge across international boundaries. As
the social, political and economic systems of nations have become more
interdependent, the challenges we all face have assumed a global dimension.
The
International/Intercultural Education Program is dedicated to preparing
professional educators who can work effectively in international and
multinational settings. The core courses are designed to provide students with
a strong
theoretical and empirical base for studying education in a rapidly
changing global context and for understanding the hows and whys of
successful policies and practices that improve educational practice in
different social settings.
