SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Metromedia Restaurant Group includes the Steak and Ale, Bennigan's, Ponderosa Steakhouse and Bonanza restaurant chains. With approximately 1,200 restaurants, Metromedia Restaurant Group is one of the largest full-service restaurant groups in the United States. The company is based in Dallas, Texas, and employs more than 38,000 employees in the U.S. and six foreign countries. Privately owned, Metromedia Restaurant Group is an indirectly held subsidiary of Metromedia Company.

Qualifications for Applicants:
- Must be of African American descent.
- Must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
- Must be an admitted student into the School of Hospitality Management.
- Must be majoring in Hospitality Management at Florida International University.
- Must be of junior status or above.
- Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 on 4.0 scale.
- Must be a full time student (12 credits per semester).
- Must have demonstrated financial need. Apply for financial aid.
Application Review:
Applicants will be evaluated according to the following categories:
- Demonstrated financial need.
- Previous industry-related work experience.
- Grade point average (minimum 2.5).
- Personal attributes, including career goals.
- Responses to the required essay questions.
- Neatness and completeness of the application.
- Preference may be given to students with restaurant/foodservice work experience or career goals.
