International Admission Check List
STEP I:
SUBMIT APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION BY DEADLINE.

February 1st - last day to submit application.
March 1st - last day to submit all supporting academic credentials, appropriate test scores and Declaration and Certification of Finances.Fall Admission
April 1st - last day to submit application.
June 1st - last day to submit all supporting academic credentials, appropriate test scores and Declaration and Certification of Finances.Spring Admission
September 1st - last day to submit application.
October 1st - last day to submit all supporting academic credentials, appropriate test scores and Declaration and Certification of Finances.
IF APPLICATION AND DOCUMENTS ARE NOT RECEIVED BY THE DEADLINE DATE, YOUR APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION MAY HAVE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE FOLLOWING TERM.STEP II:
Have appropriate official transcripts, diplomas, and/or certificates sent directly from each previous institution to the office of admissions. Documents in a language other than English, must be translated by an official translator agency. Notarized translators are NOT acceptable.
XEROXED AND FAXED COPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.STEP III:
Take the TOEFL exam (Minimum score of 500 required for undergraduate and 550 for graduate students).
1st year students or students transferring with less than 60 credits must submit a SAT or ACT score. Master's degree candidates must submit acceptable GRE (1000) or GMAT (450) scores.
ALL TEST SCORES MUST BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE UNIVERSITY FROM THE TESTING CENTERS. XEROXED OR FAXED COPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.STEP IV:
Complete the Declaration and Certification of Finances Form and attach sponsor letters and bank letters (from each sponsor) showing that you have a minimum of $19,000 (students entering Summer Semester will need $25,000) available for schooling (follow directions on form regarding bank letter). A bank statement will not be accepted. Send form with application. It must be completed and returned to the Office of Admissions two months prior to the anticipated entry date (see Admissions or Graduate Admissions for estimate of costs).
ORIGINAL COPIES OF THE BANK AND SPONSOR LETTERS MUST BE MAILED. XEROXED, PHOTOCOPIED OR FAXED COPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.STEP V:
An I-20 Form will be issued once the applicant has been found admissible to the university and has submitted a completed Declaration of Finances Form with supporting documents.

Complete Measles Immunization Form and mail or fax to the North Miami address specified on the form.
WITHOUT PROOF OF MEASLES IMMUNIZATION YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES.STEP II:
All International Students must maintain health insurance coverage. The university has approved a plan which meets the state requirements and which meets the needs of most students. Students must purchase this state approved plan.
PROOF OF INSURANCE IS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES.
