THIS NEW YEAR, epicurean
delights, exquisite wines and fine spirits are yours for the tasting at
the annual Florida Extravaganza.
The annual wine and spirits tasting event will feature the finest wines
and spirits from more than 100 of the world's most renowned wineries and
spirits manufacturers as well as nearly 50 of south Florida's top restaurants.
The live United Auction, highlighting rare and unique wines, trips and
special celebrity dinners will be another feature of the Extravaganza.
Mark Militello of Mark's Las Olas, Allen Susser of Chef Allen's and
Norman Van Aken of Norman's continue to be the culinary coordinators for
the Florida Extravaganza, the largest wine-tasting in South Florida.
Tickets for the Florida Extravaganza, which will be held on Sunday,
January 16, 2000, in the Roz and Cal Kovens Conference Center at FIU's
Biscayne Bay Campus, are $75 for the general tasting per person and $150
for the VIP/Preview Tasting per person. The VIP Tasting will begin at 4
p.m. and the General Tasting will begin at 5 p.m. The United live
auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. with spirited bidding.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Southern Wine & Spirits
Beverage Management Center and the General Endowment in the School of
Hospitality Management at FIU.
