FIU Herpetology Club: Minutes of January, 2002

FIU Herpetology Club Minutes
January, 2002

The FIU Herpetology Club met on 11 January, 2002 to organize activities for the
semester and outline the group’s budget. It was decided that in addition to
regularly scheduled paper discussions, the group would organize one or two field
trips to sites of herpetological interest in Florida. We also decided to
sponsor one or two seminars over the course of the semester. A field trip to
Jonathan Dickinson State Park was scheduled for the weekend of 23 February. Dr.
Michael Harvey from East Tennessee State University was invited to speak about
his research on lizard systematics on 6 February.
Below is the proposed budget for the FIU Herpetology Club for the spring, 2002
semester.
$200 - Funds for Talks (honorarium, food, drinks)
$200 - Gas for Fieldtrips
$250 - Food for Fieldtrips
$150 - Camping Fees
$50 - Tolls
Total: $850
The group will meet for a paper discussion on Friday 25 January.
