Avi says:

“…teeth in their vagina”

A basic pan-cultural primal fear (vagina dentata); the vagina with teeth clutches and consumes the man’s penis, rendering it impotent, castrated.  Tantamount to death.

“The classic symbol of men's fear of sex, expressing the unconscious

belief that a woman may eat or castrate her partner during intercourse”

Shantala says:

Here are two alluring women who both wish to share their beds with this stranger.  The teeth in the vagina signify a trap used to capture its prey, not unlike the Venus Fly Trap.  When these women reach erythrism, this becomes the most dangerous time for men.  This alludes to YB's insecurities.  These women’s sexuality both tempts and threatens YB.  When he penetrates them with the crane’s bill, it may be argued that he has raped them without imperiling himself.  Had he copulated with them, it would have meant emasculation, castration, and most importantly and literally a loss of control.
