CHAINSAW SAFETY

The Florida Cooperative Extension Service recommends the following safety precautions:

• Keep both hands on the chainsaw handles.
• Never cut branches above your head.
• Cut with the lower edge of the saw blade
  whenever possible.
• Do not force the saw.
• Wear protective clothing: a hard hat, goggles, sturdy shoes, gloves and trim-fitting clothes.
