He has developed and taught environmental engineering courses for university curricula and professional organizations. His experience includes being principal, co-principal and investigator of research and projects. He has over 150 technical publications in the fields of water resources and water quality engineering, environmental operations and processes, fate and transport of hazardous and radioactive waste contaminants, green engineering and pollution control, minimization and prevention. He has been a consultant to national and international governmental agencies, the private sector, and citizen organizations. Dr. Fuentes also serves as a referee for various environmental professional journals and research organizations.
