Initial Eligibility Requirements

  • Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Be a Federal Pell Grant recipient.
  • Be US citizen.
  • Be a lower division Freshman or Sophomore for Fall 2006
  • Enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours per term (full-time) as a degree-seeking undergraduate student (fall /spring).
  • Must have completed a rigorous secondary school program (i.e. advance or Honors diploma, Advance Placements, or International Baccalaureate) after January 1, 2006 (freshmen) or January 1, 2005 (sophomores).
  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 at the conclusion of the first year of undergraduate  education (completion of 30 credit hours).
