Cuban national-socialist totalitarianism continues to repress human dignity, and it looks to hatred as a revolutionary virtue. Hence, Cubans are pitted against Cubans, injustice of a compatriot overpowering his neighbor.
In Cuba, to defend the social system in order, controlling the streets, in any manner, is the official dogma. Let's not forget the para-military (which), with sticks and hooks, viciously confronted the popular protests on August 5, 1995. Much in the same manner as the political dissidents are attacked, the ones that scream their desperation. It is violence masked as legitimate defense.
It is hatred, as a factor in the struggle, which transforms into an effective machinery, violent, selective and coldblooded, to anihilate men. This is well known to those who govern in Cuba.
It has been four decades of perpetuating oppresion in the island, not the peace touted by the authorities.
The power of hatred has battered the Cuban nation, having stained many with the guilt that it brings forth. That is why we must be prepared to oppose any justification given for violence and to uncover its hidden uses.
The real peace, the authentic peace, must be based on an internal peace, not in the secret love for violence. Unless it is done that way, we will never reach the essential reconciliation needed amongst Cubans.
