Purpose: This web ring exists for the purpose of creating an online community of pro-democracy movements which are engaged in ongoing struggles for democracy, liberty, and the rule of law in their respective countries around the world. The purpose of this on-line community of pro-democracy groups is to provide both the member organizations, and visitors to the ring the opportunity to interact with diverse freedom movements, and encourage collaboration.

Criteria: Any site (or page on a site) around the world which meets the following criteria is encouraged to join.

• The page must be related to or representing either pro-democracy groups, human rights organizations, or non-governmental organizations .
• The organizations must be nonviolent. While opposition to tyranny whatever the form is preferable to apathy only organizations using non-violent means will be included in this webring, the focus of this webring is on non-violent movements.

The ringmaster retains the right to exercise sole authority over the inclusion or rejection of any applicant site to join the Pro-Democracy Movements Webring.
