ZINNOWITZ, Germany (AP) - Skinheads who harassed a group of foreigners in northeast Germany got a lesson in picking the right target - not top boxers in training.
The trouble started Friday when two skinheads entered a billiard hall where Cuban boxer Juan Carlos Gomez was relaxing. One insulted Gomez several times with a racial slur, police said.
Gomez punched him in the nose and the skinheads left, police said.
The following Monday, a group of skinheads were waiting for the boxers when they returned to their hotel from training camp. Again, one of the boxers punched a skinhead in the face.
Neither side filed a formal complaint, police said.
