CAIBARIEN, 18 March (CNP).- Delays of more than 10 days in the sugar production plan in the present period worry the Cuban government, and measures were imposed to avoid a worst disaster. Action are taken, with the incorporation to the cane cutters of all the workers not indispensable in other labors. The movilization of the syndicates to impose control of the lodged, and reinforce the security against break downs and damage in installations and fields, figure also among the new features.

CAIBARIEN, 18 March (CNP).- The arbitrary measures against the self employed in the central region of the country contradicts the Cuban economic political reforms. The authorities in Villa Clara undertook an offensive against the owners of video halls , to whom the licenses were revoked and (they were) accused of showing pornographic films and entertaining that promote values contrary to the Castroist ideology.

3) Production and productivity diminish in Villa Clara
CAIBARIEN. 18 March (CNP).- The decrease of merchandise production in Villa Clara in the first 2 month of this year in 8 millions 700 thousand pesos, is evidence of the economic disaster of the system.
Official sources declare, that the fundamental problem is in the steel-mechanical industry, with a decline of 5 millions 700 thousand pesos. Furthermore decreases were found in the basic, transport, food industry, light fishing, recycling of basic materials and others.
Agriculture decreased by a 2% with the exception of rice, which grew by 30%. Also productivity shrunk to 66 pesos and 80 cents per worker. And the consumption of fuel increased by 2,3%.
The newspaper Vanguardia, of Villa Clara, questions the quality and efficiency of the efforts of the leadership in general, but offers no concrete details about the particular. Meanwhile, the sugar production period continues facing serious organizational problems, lack of resources and low productivity in the agro-industrial chain.

The original manuscript of the book " De dos pingue" was returned last January to the author, Cuban Lorenzo Cardero, who resides in Santa Clara, Villa Clara.
The reason for such an indecent gesture hints to a supposed contradiction with the editorial politics of the estate, according to the text of the letter received by the author.
"De dos pingue", or "Braking Point, also named by the author Lunar Cardero, obtained an award in the Third Biennial of Narrative, a prestigious literary award.

CAIBARIEN, 18 March (CNP).- A large queue of thirsty Caibarien natives broke the esthetic scheme of a cafeteria run by the Cuban chain Rumbos. The beggars of the vital liquid often break the exterior ofThe Rapid, where the spout is located, all the property of the state.
Not withstanding the objections of the managers, the neighborhood of the zone block the parking of the tourists automobiles with their improvised long narrow two wheel carts used to take home the liquid.
