As an individual who champions peace and non-violent means of change, Dr. Leonel Morejon Almagro has promoted and held Peace Congresses within Cuba. As the duly elected National Coordinator of Concilio Cubano he has brought together over 140 dissident organizations and Cubans throughout the world who are desirous of a homeland where liberty and human rights reign. For his efforts Dr. Almagro has been made a Political Prisoner of Conscience as declared by Amnesty International.
