Dear Berit and Christian Lovschall:

Thank you for your letter on March 1, 1998.

In my letter to you on January 21, 1998, I mentioned that the Danish

Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to continue to assist you, if we

can be of help.

>From my letter to you, dated January 29, 1998, the Danish Ministry of

Foreign Affairs does not find the answer from the Cuban authorities

satisfactory. Therefore, even though it cannot be expected that the

Cuban authorities will change the already sent account, we are

considering a renewed inquiry. With this as background, I asked you to

let us know which questions you may want answered.

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to believe that it

would be most appropriate for clearing the matter up, if a new Danish

inquiry to the Cuban authorities contains the Danish Ministry of Foreign

Affairs' aforementioned considerations, as well as the unexplained

questions you want explained.

The fact that the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not acted

further in this matter, after receiving the Cuban note, is because we

are awaiting your answer.

I hope that you will agree that this procedure is an appropriate way to

proceed. I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

Sincerely, Eva Janson
