Singer Estefan to send Marlins a taste of Cuba

MIAMI, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Cuban-American singer Gloria Estefan is sending the Florida Marlins baseball team a taste of Cuba to spice up their World Series game against the Cleveland Indians in chilly Ohio on Thursday night.

The Latin pop superstar and her husband Emilio will provide Marlins players, coaches and families with a Cuban meal in honor of Cuban-born pitcher Livan Hernandez, one of the sensations of the series, before Game Five.

They are flying in a chef and staff from their restaurant Bongo's Cuban Cafe, which is due to open in Orlando next month.

Estefan, Miami's best known Cuban-American, sang the national anthem before Game Two in Miami on Sunday. The series is tied 2-2 following the Indians victory on Wednesday night.
