AROUND DADE

WEST DADE: A small group of Florida International University's Free Cuba Foundation gathered Thursday afternoon outside the campus' main entrance to protest policies regulating the posting of fliers on university property. Last month, John Suarez, a founder of the 800-member student organization, posted 80 fliers on campus commemorating the three-year anniversary of Cuba's ``13 de marzo'' attack, during which 41 Cubans were killed by their government.

Several members of the faculty complained of finding fliers stapled and taped to walls rather than corkboards, said FIU spokeswoman Maydel Santana-Bravo. Suarez, who said he posted all the fliers himself, insisted he only put them on corkboards.
