FIU Department of Environmental Studies

Environmental Internships

Students can obtain course credit when selected for these internships. Students must fill out a preliminary application form with the Environmental Studies department, whereby your advisor will review your file. An approval from the department does not guarantee placement in a chosen internship position. For an application and more information, please stop by the Internship Office in ECS 342 or see your advisor.

Internships listed pertain mainly to the local area. A student may wish to pursue an internship for college credit that is not listed and discuss the details with his/her advisor first.

Students are encouraged to stop by ECS 342 and browse materials, including information about current local internships, volunteer programs, and local environmental organizations. The department also subscribes to Environmental Career Opportunities, which students may view to find national jobs and internships.
