Right-To-Know

There are many hazardous materials that we encounter on a daily basis whether at school, home, or at work. Every person at FIU has the right to know about the chemicals that they work with or are surrounded by each and every day. 

Each employee has the right to:

• Know of hazardous and toxic materials present in the work environment
• Obtain/view a copy of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) for any listed substance for which they may be exposed to
• Training of how to properly work with these substances in their respective work environments
