Head, Reference & Instructional Services Department : December 2003 - present
• Provide supervision and leadership for department consisting of 10 FTE professional librarians, 1 library technical assistants, and 1 administrative assistant
• Administer and supervise all functions of the Reference & Instructional Services Department, including the Latin American & Caribbean Information Center, Reference Desk, Electronic Research Center, Reference and Curriculum Collections
• Promote and maintain a collegial atmosphere of communication and collaboration between the Reference Department and other departments within the library and university
• Take a leadership role in the development of the library's academic liaison program and participates in the program in designated areas
• Coordinate collection development efforts for the Reference Collection
• Serve as the FIU contact for vendors of electronic products and consortial partners for issues including pricing, licensing, training, and troubleshooting
• Serve as liaison to the Systems Department for matters relating to electronic resources and Reference equipment

Head, Resource Development Department : July 2001 - November 2003
• Supervise and manage the Serials, Acquisitions, and Physical Processing units, including creation and revision of policies and procedures
• Supervise and evaluate 9 FTE technical assistants
• Oversee library materials budget of 4.5 million dollars
• Coordinate collection development efforts in collaboration with faculty and library staff at both FIU campuses

Electronic Information Services Librarian : March 1998 - June 2001
• Provide service at the Reference Desk, including some evening and weekend hours
• Assist students via e-mail, phone and individual consultation as needed
• Develop and present library instruction sessions in a variety of subjects, including Internet, English Literature, and Engineering
• Supervise and train student assistants in the Reference area computer center
• Develop handouts and instructional materials for reference services
• As a member of the Web Technical Committee, create, develop, and maintain library webpages
• Serve as contact for vendors of electronic products and with the Florida Center for Library Automation for issues including pricing, licensing, training, and troubleshooting
• Function as liaison to the Systems Department
• Perform collection management duties in assigned areas
