Brief Technology Description, including novel features:
Non-ferrous high frequency current probes have been developed that may be used to measure the radio frequency current that is induced at various parts of the human body. These dosimeteters may be used to determine the safety of human exposure to the fields that are produced by transmitters or various industrial devices that use radio frequency energy. This invention has the advantages that (1) it does not perturb the current that is measured, (2) it has a null reading unless there is a current, (3) it may be used to measure the current at various places in the body, and (4) it may be used at frequencies as high as several hundred MHz. Ferrous current probes have been used as dosimeters but they are more limited in frequency and they perturb the current that is measured. Stand-on current probes have been used as dosimeters but they perturb the current that is measured, do not have a null reading when no person is standing on them, can only measure the current between the feet and ground, and are not usable at frequencies above 1 MHz.

Degree of Technical Development of Technology:
We made and successfully tested these dosimeters at commercial radio stations, and also at several facilities that the U.S. Navy and Air Force use for measuring the susceptibility of electronics to electromagnetic pulses (EMP) that simulate the radio frequency effects of a nuclear detonation.
