The course is intended for Math majors and for Math-Ed. majors.
It is a 3000 level course, so it presumes a relatively high level of mathematical maturity.
The catalog prerequisite is Calculus II, but, since the course will emphasize on doing and writting proofs,
certain familiarity with them is also helpful.

For the general State of Florida requirement for all teachers to have 3 credits of Geometry,
the approriate course would be Geometry for Teachers (a 1000 level course).
Our department tried to offer this course this semester, but it was cancelled because of lack of enrollment.
If this is the course you intended to take, the department will attempt to offer it again
in the Summer semester (as MTG 1996) and my advice to you is to try it then.
You are welcome to try College Geometry, but it certainly is a more demanding course
than Geometry for Teachers.
