The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) is DPhiE's official philanthropy since 1958. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States. There is currently no cure for CF. Over one million dollars has been raised to date for the CFF through Delta Phi Epsilon.
How our chapter contributes – Our chapter holds two annual events to raise money for CFF. Our Pearl Cup is a 3x3 soccer tournament held in August. The tournament is open to anyone who wishes to sign up a team. We also hold Campus Man, a pageant where men from our campus compete to become our sweetheart. Throughout the year, we also participate in various local walks for CFF.
The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) has been an additional recipient of our fund raising efforts. ANAD is a national organization dedicated to alleviating problems of anorexia and other eating disorders.
How our chapter contributes – We believe not only in raising awareness for ANAD, but helping create healthy self-esteem in women as a way to fight eating disorders. We have ANAD Week to raise awareness and a “We Think You’re Beautiful” campaign to promote building you self image.
The Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation was established in 1967 in honor of our 50th Anniversary. Through grants and loans, the Foundation assists members and their children to complete their education or continue with graduate studies.
How our chapter contributes - Funding for the foundation comes from a small portion of chapter dues and alumni donations. The Education Foundation shows that even after you become alumni, your sisterhood will continue to support your educational success.
