Travel Stipends

Transatlantic U.S. students each receive individual stipends of $3,000 to cover travel and housing. European students will receive a comparable amount in Euro from their home institution.

•     Students meet the criteria for acceptance to the graduate program and follow application procedures of their      university.

      Enrollment/Tuition

•     Students enroll in the appropriate program offered by their university
          (Certificate Program, concentrate in MSN Program, area of focus).
     

• Tuition will be paid at the home university including tuition for the semester abroad.
  Transatlantic students will continue to receive all previously awarded scholarships or financial loans during their   semester abroad.
  

      Progression

•     Students meet the progression criteria of the master's program at their university.
     
• Each student is assigned an advisor at their home university.
     
• The Cultural Immersion Seminar is a prerequisite for all other program courses and is taken first and/or before traveling abroad.
     
• Transatlantic students will be assigned an advisor in the guest institution. They are
  also teamed with a graduate student who will serve as mentor.
  
• Transatlantic students register for the three core courses (or a substituted course if one already has been taken at home) during the semester abroad.
  
• At-home students register for the program courses at their preferred pace.
  
• Course work will be web based for at least one of the courses.
  
• Assignments will be evaluated by their guest university advisor in correspondence with the home university advisor.
  
• Web-based assignments will be submitted electronically.
  
• The Leadership Seminar is taken last/upon return by all students in order to complete the program requirements.

     Housing

Transatlantic students will be accommodated in Student Housing at Florida International University, University of Wisconsin, University of Tampere, University of Witten-Herdecke and University of Rome. Capital University will assist in finding an apartment close to campus.

Housing expenses may be covered by the stipend.

     Health Insurance

Students will be required to purchase health insurance coverage in some of the host universities.
