The Center's research on Long-Term Care includes
health and long-term care, transportation and home and community-based
services and housing. Issues of access, cost and quality are
addressed through needs assessments, evaluations and policy studies,
as well as through education and training programs. This theme
encompasses creative combinations of housing and services, identification
of variations in needs and community responses based on race, ethnicity,
socioeconomic and other variables, and improved methodologies for
assessing need among older persons. Below are examples of
the Center's research, education and training programs focusing
on this theme.
