Procedures to Upload records from NOTIS to OCLC.


  1. Search record in NOTIS.

  2. Open CLARR.

  3. Change export settings in CLARR to C:\oclc.dat, this is done only the first time you import record from Notis.

  4. Click on the button N with arrow pointing up, to save a NOTIS record in USMARC format.

  5. Open Connexion.

  6. Click on File from the top menu, and then on Import Records.

  7. In the Import Records dialog, specify the file location for the records you want to import (C:\oclc.dat).

  8. Select "Import to Online Save File" (If you are not logged on, when you start the import process, the client opens the Logon OCLC Connexion dialog so that you can log on).

  9. Click on OK or press Enter to import the records.

  10. You will get a message letting you know how many Authority records and Bibliographic records were imported. Click on OK.

  11. You will get a message that reads: Do you want to delete your original import file? Click on Yes.

  12. Search Online Bibliographic Save File for the records you just imported.
