Records Creation Priorities
The guiding philosophy is that the first priorities are materials for which money needs to be
encumbered. Following this are materials for which we might accidentally order a second copy
because we didn't know that we had already received one as a gift.
In order of priority:
- Reference (including Business Services) & Reserves
- Firm orders, including purchases for all material types and locations.
- Approval plan books.
- Special Collections materials which are particularly rare or valuable.
- INT materials.
- Gifts.
