How to Overlay a Record in ALEPH

1. Search the title in OCLC.
   
   
2. Copy the ALEPH bib system number of the record you plan to overlay. Paste the number into a 599:9_: (that is 599 first indicator 9) field in the OCLC record. (C&p only the significant digits; not the leading zeros.)



EXAMPLE: 599:9_: 35932


Export record by clicking on the E icon or click on Edit menu and then on Export or just click on Ctrl F3.



Check ALEPH to make sure that the record overlaid the correct ALEPH bib record.
