BOOK JACKET RETENTION

1. 1st level (DLC) jackets are placed inside the book.
   
2. 2nd and 3rd level jackets are to be left on/in the book until cataloged. Then they can be discarded. However, if any of these books are art or music the jacket should be retained and sent down to the Audio Visual Library.
   
3. Reference book (all levels) jackets should be placed inside the books and sent to Reference.
   
4. Architecture book jackets (all levels) should be placed in the "Architecture Book Cover box" under the table with the series file next to Nora's desk, Tony will check the box from time to time and send the covers to the Dean.
   
   

1. 1st level book jackets are only retained if they are art, music or Reference. Send the art and music to the Audio-Visual Library. Reference jackets should be sent down with the books.
   
2. 2nd and 3rd level jackets should be retained until cataloged, then discarded. However, if any of these are art, music, or Reference they should be sent to either the Audio Visual Library or to Reference as above.
