1. Make sure
that you are using either Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer.
(AOL and MSN users: You will have
problems taking the quiz if you use the AOL or MSN proprietary browsers.
If you're not sure how to launch Netscape or IE, please
click here.)
2. Click on the Pre/Post Test link in this tutorial.
OR
Type http://webct.fiu.edu
in the Address/Location box near the top of your browser window.
3. When the WebCT Login
window opens, click on Login to my WebCT.
4. At the next screen, type in your username and password.
a. The username is case
sensitive. For students, the username is ALL CAPS.
b. Your username is your user id from your FIU e-mail address.
(If your e-mail address is fgarcia01@fiu.edu then your
username in WebCT is FGARCIA01.)
Note: Students
are assigned an e-mail account and address when they enroll.
If you don’t know it, you can access your e-mail address on
the University web site at http://www.fiu.edu/docs/webmail.htm.
The page has a link to instructions for students who are logging
in for the first time.
c. Your WebCT password
is your social security number, without dashes or spaces.
5. When your "myWebCT"
window opens, you will see a list of the WebCT courses for which you’re
registered. Click on the "course" called Child Abuse: The
Role of the Mandated Reporter.
6. Follow the directions
on the home page to tune-up your browser before taking the quizzes.
