Women in Law recognizes the growing role of women
in both the legal system and in society. Specific topics will be
discussed by practicing women attorneys and judges that include
womens rights as victims of sexual battery and domestic violence,
rights associated with marital and child custody law, and recent
court decisions involving discrimination cases. The course is instructed
by practicing attorneys and judges, adding practicality and credibility
to this comprehensive course. Women in Law is recommended for all
attorneys, both men and women, and the general public. Students
in the Paralegal Certificate Program may take this course as an
elective.
