The Intermediate comprehensive course has
been designed to gain a working knowledge of the Immigration and
Nationality system or to enhance your experience of the complexities
of the Immigration Law and the Federal Regulations. Although this
course is classified by the Florida Bar as Intermediate Level, attorneys
without formal knowledge in the area of Immigration are encouraged
to attend.
The Advanced course is available for attorneys
who have experience in the field or have already completed previous
courses of Immigration at the basic or intermediate level provided
by the Legal Studies Institute at FIU. Proof of experience must
be provided to the instructor on the first day of class by form
of a letter from another attorney attesting to such experience.
Proof of taking another previous course may be submitted by presenting
a copy of the student's certificate of completion from Florida International
University or an accredited US university. The advanced course will
be offered in October following the Intermediate course.
A reduced
fee of $995 will be applied to those registering for both courses
at once.
