UNIVERSITY
MEMBER (Rates)
- EMPLOYEES
of the University,
including Faculty, Administrative (formerly A&P), Staff (formerly USPS) and full-time OPS staff, are eligible
to purchase a REC Membership. Benefited employees may
purchase a REC Membership either on an annual or semester
basis, or through payroll deduction. Only employees receiving
full benefits can use the payroll deduction method (except Virgin HealthMiles Program participants).
- STUDENTS
NOT CURRENTLY ENROLLED (SNCE) may purchase
a REC Membership for no more than one semester after
the most recent semester of enrollment. FIU transcript or proof of recent enrollment is required. Dual Degree Program students (17 years of age or older) are eligible to purchase memberships at the SNCE rate (click here for more information on who qualifies for Dual Degree enrollment). Individuals under 18 years of age must have parent/legal guardian signature.
AFFILIATE

University. Alumni members must be able to present proof
of status (diploma or transcript) with the completed REC
Membership Application Form.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION members will receive
a discount on the regular REC membership rate. To qualify,
a current-year FIU Alumni Association membership card/key tag
must be presented at time of purchase.
- The SPOUSE / SAME-SEX PARTNER (SSP) of
any of the above categories are eligible to purchase a

for a length of time, have officially retired from service
and are recognized as such by the Office of Human Resources.

COMMUNITY INDIVIDUALS
While the Recreation Center is not open to the general public, individuals with a strong desire to gain REC membership have the opportunity to do so by becoming part of the FIU Alumni Association (even if there is no prior affiliation with FIU).
- The FIU Alumni Association offers a "Friend of FIU" membership category for an annual membership fee of $50 (individual) or $75 (couple with same address). Click here to go to the Alumni Association web site for more details.
- Once that membership is attained, REC membership is then available at the FIU Alumni Association rate. As with regular FIU Alumni Association members, a current-year membership card/key tag must be presented at the time of purchase.
