The Adventure Recreation program is designed to get you (and maybe some friends) outdoors to experience recreation opportunities available in South Florida, the state, and the Southeastern U.S.

Trips and classes are open to FIU students, Recreation Members and the FIU Community (FIU-affiliated, non-Recreation Members) at differing costs. Some trips require special gear. Participants providing their own gear must have it approved by the trip leader(s)/sponsor; otherwise it will provided (usually at a fee) by the trip leader(s)/ sponsor.

All participants will be required to sign a Waiver provided either by the trip leader(s)/ sponsor or Recreation Services. Payment must be made in full when registering. Cash, credit card, FIU Debit Card, money order or cashier checks only. Refund available only if trip is cancelled.

5th Annual Spring Ski Trip
(to Gatlinburg, Tennessee)

TRIP DATES: Thurs., Feb. 26 - Sun., Mar. 1 (departs FIU UP campus at 6am, Thurs. & returns Sun. evening)
REGISTRATION BEGINS: Mon., Jan. 5
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Fri., Feb. 13, 5:00pm, RC 103 (earlybird deadline: Fri., Feb. 6, 5:00pm)
COST: $275 FIU students / $300 Non-students ($25 discount on registration if paid by earlybird date)
INCLUDES: Round-trip bus (American Coach Lines), lodging (River Terrace Resort Gatlinburg), 2-day lift ticket (good for Friday afternoon & Saturday morning), beginner lesson, equipment rental, and Saturday All-Activity wristband for amusement area (ice skating, games & rides).
MAXIMUM PARTICIPANTS: 50

BBC Campus Recreation & UP Recreation Services offer you a West Virginia adventure to treasure - whitewater rafting and cave exploration. If speeding down the Upper New River and touring the Lost World Caverns sound like good times for you, this is a trip not to miss! This trip is perfect for ALL LEVELS of experience. Departure from both BBC and UP campuses.
