Admission to the Biomedical and Premedical Honors Program:

To be fully admitted to the program a student must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the following prerequisite lower division courses:

  • General Biology 1&2
  • General Chemistry 1&2
  • Organic Chemistry 1&2
  • Calculus 1&2
  • Physics 1&2

Students entering as transfer students who present these lower division courses taken elsewhere with the required GPA may also be provisionally admitted.

All students participating in the program will be annually evaluated to determine their eligibility for continued participation. Application to the program (both provisional and full) is made by filling out the online Biomedical and Premedical Honors Track Application.  Students are encouraged to apply to this program as soon as possible, but application must be made no later than the semester before the student's last two semesters.  Eligible applicants will be interviewed by members of the Biomedical and Premedical Honors Committee during the 4th week of the Fall and Spring semesters.  Questions should be sent to the Biomedical and Premedical Honors Committee Chair.
