Salary Range $12.73 - $20.50/hour (doq)   Starting salaries are generally at the minimum of the salary range, or dependent upon demonstrated and related qualifications, to the midpoint.  Position does not include benefits.

Requires current enrollment or recent graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Chemistry, Biology or Environmental studies.

This is a Part-Time (19 hour per week) entry-level professional training position performing regulatory compliance and monitoring work in the NPDES MS4 Compliance & Industrial Licensing Program.  Work involves the application of research techniques and analytical methods to perform water quality sample collection, review and analysis of water quality data, advising the public on policies regarding environmental issues, preparing written reports and correspondence and maintaining project data.  Work also requires the ability to be responsible for project assignments, to use sound judgment and to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Must be able to lift 25 lbs and operate a small boat.
 
Work is performed under close administrative direction and supervision and reviewed through conferences, reports, and observation of performance.  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Field work is required.  Must possess and maintain valid Florida driver’s license for duration of appointment.  All experience and education must be verifiable and documented clearly to be credited.
