The publications listed here have two things in common: they are all about South Florida and they can all be accessed from the Internet. The contents of these reports in some way describe, measure, assess, evaluate, discuss and generally provide information on various aspects of life in the region.

The extent of the South Florida region is, going from south to north: Monroe County, Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and Palm Beach County. As the population moves north, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties are frequently included in an unofficial definition of South Florida.

These reports, studies, surveys, profiles, overviews, plans and proposals come from many sources: city, county, regional, state and federal governments and agencies, academic institutions, think tanks, independent and non-affiliated groups, and more.

The major challenges covered in these publications include: urban sprawl, congestion, traffic, extremes of wealth and poverty, housing, medical care and health insurance, environmental degradation, growth and development.

Each report can be found in at least two places: in a geographic location and by subject.

As stated, these publications (more than two hundred from many sources) are found on the Internet, and they are very likely to change their web addresses, or disappear entirely. Please let us know if a link does not work. We will look for the new link, or delete it from the list if the publication is no longer accessible.
