Benjamin Baez is an associate professor of higher education in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at Florida International University. He received his law degree in 1988 and his doctorate in higher education in 1997, both from Syracuse University. Baez’s teaching and research interests include the politics of education, diversity, social justice, faculty-employment issues (especially issues relating to faculty of color), and legal issues relating to education (especially those relating to race, class, and gender).
