very solid singles player who is a hard worker and possesses good mental presence…tough competitor who should play singles at either the No. 3 or 4 position.

2000-01: Played 21 singles matches in the spring, all at the No. 5 position, and posted a 17-4 record which included a 6-2, 7-5 NCAA first-round victory over Penn State's Kristen Nowicki…overall, had a 24-8 mark giving her an FIU career singles record of 41-11…got off to an immediate fast start, winning the consolation singles finals and teaming with Alexandra Guzman for the "B" flight doubles championship at the Lady Seminole Fall Classic…also reached the "B" flight singles consolation championship at the Hurricane Fall Classic…won six of her last seven singles matches of the spring, including six in a row…she and Guzman were doubles partners all season and led the Golden Panthers with a 24-9 overall record…the duo won 13 of their last 16 doubles matches.

1999-2000: Arrived at FIU mid-year and established herself in the spring, mostly at No. 6…posted an overall 17-3 dual singles record, 14-2 at No. 6…ended the year winning 16 of the last 17 matches she played…teamed with Guzman at No. 3 doubles and the two had an 8-3 record…4-0 record at No. 2 doubles included a decisive win over nationally-ranked Bethune-Cookman.
Prior to FIU: Played amateur tennis at Academia International de Tennis in Ecuador…competed in the South American Nationals from 1989 through '97.
