FIU's Li ousted in Lady Seminole Tennis quarterfinals

ei Li, FIU's last remaining hope at this weekend's Lady Seminole Classic in Tallahassee, was eliminated Saturday when she fell to the tourney's No. 2 seed Jaime Wong from Georgia Tech, 6-3, 6-0, in the quarterfinals.

True to form, Li, the classic's No. 8 seed, won her two matches Friday, setting up the meeting with Wong, the No. 38 collegiate singles player in preseason rankings by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Wong went on to defeat Kentucky's Sarah Witten in the semifinals and meets the tournament's No. 1 seed and No. 35 nationally-ranked Anca Dumitrescu from Florida State, Sunday at 9 a.m.
