Golden Panthers fall in Lady Seminole semifinals

IU women’s doubles teams of Anneliese Rose and Cristana Campana and Maria Montoya and Dominique Rosenberg were both defeated in semifinal action Sunday at the Lady Seminole Fall Classic in Tallahassee.

Rose and Campana were beaten by Florida State’s Alida Gallovits and Anca Dumitrescu, 8-1, in Flight A, while Montoya and Rosenberg fell to Auburn’s Sarah Suitor and Liz Sauerborn, 8-3, in Flight B.

Rosenberg and her sister Sharoni also reached the semifinals of their consolation brackets before being eliminated. Dominique lost to eventual champion Kristina Lohmos from UCF, 6-1, 6-2. Sharoni fell victim to Georgia State’s Amy Wilander, 6-3, 6-3.
