FIU easily handles Seton
Hall, 7-0

No. 36-ranked Golden Panthers (14-3) won for the eighth-straight
time with a 7-0 shutout over the Big East's Seton Hall, Sunday
at University Park.
Seton Hall fell to 4-9 on the season.
FIU had little trouble winning the doubles' point, taking
all three matches, paced at No. 1 where No. 28-ranked Anneliese
Rose and Cristana
Campana beat Nicole Cercone and Kyle Lassalle,
8-0.
Marina Raic and Maria
Montoya dominated Kimberly Barfuss and Lorell
Zamot, 8-1, at No. 2 and Mei
Ly and Dominique
Rosenberg took No. 3, 8-2, over Elizabeth Dugan
and Jasmine Wolcott.
In singles, Rose beat Barfuss, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1 and Ly won
her team-leading 13th match of the year, 6-1, 6-1 against Lasalle
at No. 2.
FIU also got straight-set wins by Montoya at No. 3, Campana
at No. 4, Nazly
Elsawaf at No. 5 and Rosenberg at No. 6.
The Golden Panthers take on New Mexico State next, on Thursday,
March 28 at 2:00 p.m. on the University Park courts.
