FIU settles Denver's Pioneers,
7-0
ne
day before the first ITA national computer rankings of the season,
the FIU women's tennis team did nothing to jeopardize its current
No. 28 rating as the Golden Panthers (12-3) won their sixth straight
with a 7-0 shutout over Denver Tuesday afternoon at the University
Park tennis courts.
Denver, in South Florida for the first of three matches that
will conclude with contests against Northern Iowa and Boston
College later this week, evened its record at 5-5.

Rose and Cristina
Campana who were 8-1 winners over DU's Yanick Dullens
and Barbara Kourim.
Denver (5-5) posed little problems in singles as Rose defeated
Dullens at No. 1, 6-1, 6-3, and Mei
Ly won her team-leading 11th match of the spring, 6-3,
6-0, over Kourim at No. 2.
The Pioneers Stephanie Ginsburg made a match of it
at No. 3 before falling to Campana, 6-1, 7-6.

Montoya beat Elizabeth Matthews at No. 4 (6-0,
6-2), Marina Raic defeated Rossi Thomas at No.
