Florida International loses fourth in a row, Jacksonville 2 - FIU 1

he Florida International University Women's Soccer team lost its fourth game in a row Sunday afternoon, falling 2-1 to Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla. The Dolphins were led to victory by Freshman Forward Ranveig Aas-Hanssen, who scored a goal and an assist. Aas-Hanssen, a native of Norway, had already scored two goals coming into the match and is now second on the team with seven points.

The Golden Panthers fell behind 2-0 early in the second half, but battled back and finally scored on a penalty kick goal from Senior Forward Nicola Bell in the eighty-third minute. From there, the Dolphins held on and kept FIU off the board for the rest of the match.

For Bell, the goal was her second of the season, and she now leads the team with five points. Florida International next travels to Durham, N.C. for a match-up with Duke 7:00 p.m. Friday.
