Florida International Loses First Game of the Season

n their opening game of the season, the Florida International University Women's Soccer team fell to Western Carolina 3-1 Friday afternoon at the Mariott-Radison Kick-Off Classic in Boca Raton, Florida. The Golden Panthers couldn't overcome a Hat Trick scored by Western Carolina Forward Natasha Moore.

FIU's only goal came courtesy of a header from Midfielder Janessa Taddei. Midfielder Nicola Bell's hard charge and cross from the right sideline set the goal up. The Golden Panthers' next opponent in the Classic is Memphis at noon on Sunday, September 1.
