USF leads after day one of Pat Bradley Championship

outh Florida's Fany Schaeffer fired a 70 to finish two-under par and put her team in the early lead of the 25th Annual Pat Bradley Women's Golf Championship hosted by Florida International University in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico.

USF's Jill Crowe and Nebraska's Sarah Sasse were close behind Schaeffer at day's end as each finished at 72 on the par-72, 5,689-yard course. The Bulls had all five players rank among the top 18 finishers and a total score of 296 on day one of the three-day event.

Leading FIU in the early-going was Natasha Lorenz. Lorenz finished six-over-par with a 78, putting her in a tie for sixth place.

Play continues tomorrow at 7:30 a.m.
