FIU finishes in
fifth place at the Sun Belt Championships
Sarratt earns all-conference
he
FIU Women's Golf team finished in fifth place at the Sun Belt
Conference Tournament at the Bluewater Bay Resort in Niceville,
FL.
The team shot 946 for the three rounds, 38 shots behind champion
New Mexico State.
Junior Andrea Sarratt took home All-Sun Belt Conference
honors, making this the sixth consecutive year an FIU golfer
has earned that honor.
The Aggies Rachel Bailey was the individual champion
with an even-par 216 for three rounds. FIU's best finish was
Liz Stuart, who tied for tenth place and shot a 232 (+16).
Stuart finished the day 12-over par, 84.
Laura Leone shot the best round for the Golden Panthers
firing a 10-over 82, for a 235 (+19) total and tie for 13th.
Sarratt, who received a all-conference selection after the
tournament, ended in a tie for 22nd at 239 (+23).
Courtney Burdick and Cindy Pilat rounded out
the team with a 240 (+24) and 261 (+45), respectively. |
