Three different players
shoot in the 70's in the final round of the SBC Championships
IU
finishes in ninth place at the Sun Belt Conference Championships
in Niceville, FL. The team had its best round of the three-day
tournament with a 322, for a total of 993.
New Mexico State won the conference with a 891 total, 35 strokes
better than second-place Denver.
Liz Stuart had her best round since a 74 at the Waterlefe
Invitational, firing a four-over 76. Her 233 total put her alone
in 13th place.
Alena Sharp of New Mexico State was the medalist at
216.
Coming in 18th place was Laura Leone. Leone, who had
an average of 80.50 coming into the tournament, shot a 77. She
recorded a three-day total of 237.
Natascha Lorenz tied her best round on the year with
a 78. The six-over round vaulted her into 36th place at 254.
Cindy Pilat rounded out the Golden Panthers shooting
a final-round 91. Pilat shot a 269 for three days and 45th place. |
